No secondary in Kentucky has had an answer for Christian Academy of Louisville (KY) senior receiver Ja'Hyde Brown.
The four-star Louisville football commit has diced and carved his way through every secondary the Centurions have faced in their first nine games, racking up a national-best 28 touchdowns.
With a three-touchdown performance in a 49-0-win over Fern Creek (KY) to close out the year on Oct. 30, Brown now tops the Kentucky high school football record book for most touchdown receptions in a single season with 31.
William Carrico of Owensboro Catholic (KY) set the previous record at 30 back in 2023.
Now that the state record is set, Brown likely has his sights on the national record as the Centurions are heavy favorites to go unbeaten again
and win their fifth consecutive Class 3A state championship.

The national record for touchdown receptions in a single season is 39 and held by three different players.
Chris Nessmith of New Life (Millbrook, AL) first set the record in 1999. Navasota (TX) standout Tren'Davian Dickson matched that total in 2014, and in 2023, Ingleside (TX) Jaydon Smith did the same.
