The Los Angeles Dodgers took a 2-1 series lead with their 3-1, Game 3 win Tuesday night against the Atlanta Braves in the National League Division Series at Truist Park in Atlanta.
The game was tight, knotted at 0-0 through the third inning. Freddie Freeman thought he had a home run but Atlanta Braves outfielder Mauricio Dubón had other ideas in mind, robbing Freeman of the shot.
It wasn't until the following inning when the Dodgers took the lid off and connected for a couple of home runs from Kiké Hernández and Freeman in the top of the fourth inning.
Hernández hit a two-run homer for his 17th career home run in the postseason. Freeman followed with a solo shot just a few batters later.
The Braves got a run in the bottom of the fifth inning when
Drake Baldwin grounded out to first, giving Dubón time to make it home safe. That was the end of the scoring, though. The Dodgers hung on to preserve the win and go ahead in the series.
Physically, LA didn't make it out of the game without a scratch. Second baseman Miguel Rojas left the game in the eighth inning after sustaining an injury seemingly during a swing.
