Zapped.
The Los Angeles Chargers seemingly lost all of their powers ahead of the 2026 regular season, which might be the only explanation for the team's futility through six weeks. Once thought of as a Super Bowl contender, the Chargers will be lucky if a ticket is enough to gain entry into their home stadium when February rolls around.
Justin Herbert hasn't looked like himself in the team's new-look offense and Jim Harbaugh's seat needs a lot more than a fire extinguisher to put out that blaze.
Winless heading into the bye week, the season is all but over for L.A., barring a miracle and some higher power getting involved.
The Chargers sealed their fate by failing to show up to this point and the schedule is certainly unforgiving. For one week though,
L.A. can forget about everything that went wrong before getting a dose of reality when work begins again on Monday morning.
Here's a look at their record, AFC West standings and remaining schedule as the season continues.
Are the Chargers playing today?
The Chargers are not playing in Week 7. They join the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Commanders as the four NFL teams getting the week off before returning to action in Week 8.
