Brighton midfielder Diego Gomez scored a goal-of-the-season contender on Sunday, Oct. 18, finding the net from midfield against Crystal Palace.
With his side already up 1-0 in the seventh minute, Gomez received a pass near midfield after a Palace turnover.
Spotting Palace goalkeeper Walter Benítez off his line, Gomez took a touch and launched an audacious effort from just past the midfield stripe.
