Why It Matters: With Alec Pierce (heel) departing early with a heel injury, Downs was the team's go-to receiver on Sunday night. He led the team in targets, receptions, and yards. When Pierce is healthy, Downs fits into that WR4/WR5 area for fantasy owners, but if Pierce misses time that could change. Behind Downs on the depth chart currently is the aged duo of 34-year-old Keenan Allen and Laquon Treadwell, who is 31 and playing for his sixth team -- prior to Sunday night, Treadwell had recorded just one catch in the previous three seasons combined. Downs is already rostered in most leagues, but if he's
on waivers he'd be someone to target as depth with WR3 potential.
