Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season opened with an ugly − well, the uniforms weren't − slugfest between the Seattle Seahawks and Broncos, Denver eventually prevailing 17-14 in overtime.
But the real entertainment commenced on Amazon Prime's postgame show, when longtime NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, now an analyst for "Thursday Night Football," ripped into the performance
of third-year Broncos QB Bo Nix."It was really frustrating to watch," said Fitzpatrick. "Bo Nix is not playing competitively, it's almost disrespectful to the quarterback position how he's playing football.
"First of all, the guy doesn't want to throw the ball," Fitzpatrick continued, bemoaning Nix's decision-making. "He has no trust from his coach."
Fitzpatrick then specifically
detailed Nix's showing in overtime.
"He's got two chances to be competitive, the last one being a designed run for him to run, make somebody miss and get a first down for your football team," Fitzpatrick said, his voice steadily rising with frustration. "Now they're in the locker room, they're excited, they won − he's not playing competitive football right now.
"I can only imagine how Sean Payton feels. I mean, Sean Payton, (offensive coordinator) Davis Webb, everybody that blocks for him. He's not competing right now, and that's something that he's hung his hat on for the last two years. I don't know if he's still injured, I don't know what's going on, but it's not good enough. It's effort."
