SAN DIEGO – Earth's mightiest heroes are descending on San Diego Comic-Con.
Marvel Studios is returning to the annual convention with a highly anticipated panel today that should be filled with surprises and reveals about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The panel marks Marvel's return to Comic-Con's Hall H for the first time since 2024, when the studio stunned the convention with the mic-drop reveal that Robert Downey Jr. was coming back to the franchise as Doctor Doom.
No official itinerary for the panel has been announced. But the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday," which recently debuted its first full trailer and hits theaters in December, is sure to be discussed. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is also days away from its release, so might

Beyond that, Marvel has been vague about what's in store after 2027's "Avengers: Secret Wars," the follow-up to this year's "Doomsday." Could this be the time for some of those details to start coming together?

Marvel drops 'Avengers: Doomsday' trailer days before Comic-Con

But in a curveball, the trailer instead dropped online days ahead of the event, on Monday, July 20. This decision could suggest Marvel has bigger surprises in store for Comic-Con, considering it didn't feel the need to save the "Doomsday" trailer release as its big Hall H finale.
The trailer that was released online revealed Robert Downey Jr.'s look and sound as Doctor Doom and showed Thor being reunited with Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, and it was largely the same as the footage shown to theater owners at the CinemaCon convention in April. So it's also possible Marvel could show off some newer "Doomsday" footage at Comic-Con, such as a particular scene or new sizzle reel. For now, it's anyone's guess.
