ANAHEIM, Calif. — Crimefighting duo Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back on the case.
Disney revealed a sneal peak at what lies ahead for the beloved bunny and fox pair in "Zootopia 3" during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Friday, Aug. 14.
Ginnifer Goodwin (Judy Hopps) and Jason Bateman (Nick Wilde) are both returning to their roles for the third installment of the "Zootopia" franchise, Disney chief creative officer Jared Bush announced at the annual fan convention.
The announcement comes nearly a year after the sequel made history at the box office, grossing $1.7 billion globally. It is now the second-highest-grossing animated film in history. The original 2016 movie made more than $1.025 billion at the worldwide box office.
Ginnifer Goodwin loves seeing 'Zootopia 2' through her children's eyes
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, "Zootopia" follows the hijinks of a high-strung rabbit police officer and unimpressed con artist fox as they work together to put some of Zootopia's most notorious criminals behind bars.
The second film dropped in November and followed the duo's undercover mission to track and apprehend the mysterious pit viper Gary De'Snake.
