ATLANTA – Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels was carted off the field midway through the third quarter after sustaining an apparently serious injury while making a tackle against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The game was delayed for several minutes as Daniels was attended to by medical personnel. The entire Falcons team cleared the bench to express support during an emotional scene.
Daniels, 23, was strapped to a long backboard and placed on the cart. He appeared to be able to move.
Details of the extent of his injury were not immediately known.
