Lionel Messi couldn't say farewell to the Argentina national team without a goal.
In his final international match, the Argentina legend scored from the penalty spot in the 71st minute against Benin on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Messi's goal made it 3-0 on the night, and ignited the sold-out crowd at Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.
Argentina went up 2-0 with second-half goals from Nicolás Otamendi and Nico Paz, both of which were assisted by Messi.
The home side then drew a penalty, and Messi stepped up and buried a shot to his right.

Messi announced his international retirement in August, but Argentina
has called the 39-year-old up one final time to get a send-off in front of his home fans.
