Georgia Tech's new quarterback is already dealing with an injury in Week 1.
Alberto Mendoza is dealing with a left ankle injury he suffered in the season opener against Colorado on Thursday, Sept. 3, putting him in doubt of whether he can finish off the game.
The injury came just before halftime when Mendoza was sacked by Colorado's Lamont Lester Jr. He was twisted during the tackle and came off the field noticably limping.

He didn't miss any action as he was back on the field in the second half, but ESPN sideline reporter Paul Carcaterra noted late in the third quarter it
would be something to monitor.
The former Indiana signal-caller and younger brother of Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, has had a mild debut for the Yellow Jackets. He's 11-for-17 with 148 passing yards through three quarters of action, as Georgia Tech has yet to score an offensive touchdown.

Mendoza is dealing with a left ankle injury he suffered at the end of the first half vs Colorado. While he is still in the game, he is visibly hobbled for the Yellow Jackets offense.
If Mendoza can't continue, Grady Adamson is the backup for Georgia Tech.
