In-N-Out Burger announced two ingredient changes made this year as part of their ongoing commitment to providing customers with the “freshest, highest-quality food possible.”
The changes follow a move made in 2025; In-N-Out uses real sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup in its ketchup found in packets and dispensers, according to the burger chain.
One of the latest “updates” affects their buns. Sesame flour is no longer an ingredient in their buns across its 10 states.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to our customers, we’ve made meaningful changes to our ingredients over the years and continue to do so today,” In-N-Out said on Sept. 8. “Take a look at some of our latest updates.”
Another update: In-N-Out has replaced its iodized salt packets
with sea salt. This comes as several social media users have called for In-N-Out to use beef tallow to cook its fries.
See new In-N-Out locations in California
A new In-N-Out location opened up in Irvine on Great Park Boulevard on Sept. 4. The company is currently headquartered in Irvine.
But it’s not the only new location for Southern California.
Several In-N-Out locations are set to open soon in Southern California, according to the fast-food chain, including:
- 8245 Pine Ave., Chino
- 6233 Telegraph Ave., Commerce
- 1221 Santa Anita Ave., South El Monte
What time does In-N-Out open and close?
All In-N-Out locations are open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, according to the fast-food chain.
