Travis Kelce celebrated his birthday with Taylor Swift, and a football victory set the perfect mood for the occasion.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who turned 37 on Oct. 5, shared details of his celebration during the Oct. 7 episode of "New Heights," the podcast he cohosts with brother Jason Kelce.
"The best news that I got on my birthday was that we got a victory," Travis Kelce said. "That was the happiness I had around my birthday. I got the win going into the bye [week], and we're 4 and 0."
The Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders the day before his birthday, giving him another reason to celebrate.
When Jason Kelce asked whether a loss would have spoiled his big day, Travis Kelce couldn't help but admit that it would have.
"Losing ruins
everyone's life. Yes," Travis Kelce said. "That's the … worst thing to ever go down. So if I would have lost, it would have ruined my birthday for sure."

He also acknowledged that birthdays aren't usually a major occasion for him, so he didn't even mark the occasion with a birthday cake.

Travis Kelce said he got plenty of birthday messages and celebrated turning the big 3-7 with a meal at Torrisi, one of his favorite New York City restaurants. He also said he "got to hang with Tay," referring to his pop star wife.
There was no birthday cake, but dessert was still part of the celebration.

"But Torrisi's got some good desserts," he said. "They brought out the entire arsenal. They got some good yogurt. They got an espresso-shaved icing with ice cream and chocolate underneath. It was weird. It was nice, though."
However, he kept some details to himself. When Jason Kelce asked whether he wanted to tease any of the gifts he received, Travis Kelce declined and steered the conversation elsewhere.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce married in July
The celebration marked Travis Kelce's first birthday since he and Swift married July 3 at Madison Square Garden. Actor-comedian Adam Sandler officiated, with Jason Kelce serving as best man and Swift's brother, Austin, as her man of honor.
Their relationship followed Travis Kelce's unsuccessful attempt to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number at her Eras Tour in 2023. By September of that year, she was cheering him on at a Chiefs game.
Travis Kelce later reflected on their wedding while speaking to reporters at training camp Aug. 12.
"Wedding was the best night of my life," he said. "I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us."
