The WNBA 3-point contest will showcase the league's premier shooters, headlined by No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd of the Dallas Wings. She will compete alongside Atlanta’s Rhyne Howard, Toronto’s Marina Mabrey, and several other standout players as the event kicks offWNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago.
Rounding out the field are Portland’s Bridget Carleton, Seattle’s Natisha Hiedeman, and Golden State’s Janelle Salaün, each eager to claim the 3-point title.
This year introduces a fresh slate of competitors, as only Howard, who currently ranks second in made 3-pointers this season, and Mabrey, making her first All-Star Team appearance, have previously participated in the event. The rest of the field will be making their 3-point contest debut.
Notably,
several high-profile stars were invited to compete, including reigning 3-point champion Sabrina Ionescu, Caitlin Clark, and Kayla McBride, but each declined the invitation for various reasons.
The 3-point contest is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, July 24. Fans can catch the action live on ESPN, with streaming available on ESPN+.
