It probably won't available in candle form anytime soon, but the Buffalo Bills are set to officially open the new Highmark Stadium on "Thursday Night Football" when the Detroit Lions come to town. The time for pouring concrete and slapping paint on the walls is over.

Much has been made about the obstructed views of the new stadium, especially as Bills fans come to terms with the loss of old Highmark Stadium – a place they called home since 1973. The NFL's smallest stadium in terms of seating capacity with just 60,108 seats came at a cost of $2.2 billion.

Of course, the visiting Lions will try to spoil the party. They are coming off a near-disaster in Week 1 before escaping with a win in overtime against the New Orleans Saints. After all the pomp and circumstance, it'll be time for football. And when the game kicks off, the Bills and Lions will meet in what is an early season heavyweight battle.
