The U.S. women's national team gets another shot at world champion Spain in a friendly at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Spain defeated the USWNT 2-0 on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Audi Field, a game where the U.S. controlled long stretches but couldn't find the finishing touch. Spain got goals in the first 15 minutes from Patri Guijarro and Eva Navarro, holding on from there.
Emma Hayes went with an experienced group for the first match, which included the return of Mallory Swanson and Ashley Sanchez after nearly two years away from the U.S. team.
There are five uncapped players on the USWNT roster (Jordan Silkowitz, Trinity Byars, Kate Del Fava, Pietra Tordin, Evelyn Shores), none of which saw the field in the opening match.

The USWNT and Spain have faced off five times before, with the U.S. winning three of those meetings. Spain has now won the two most recent matches.
This will be the final match for the U.S. before it faces El Salvador in a Concacaf W Championship quarterfinal on Nov. 27. The winner of that match will qualify for the 2027 World Cup, while the loser will still have a path through a playoff.
USWNT vs. Spain prediction, pick
This U.S. side showed vulnerabilities in the first match but also had plenty of encouraging moments. Hayes' side should at least be able to better its result in this one.
Prediction: Spain 1, USWNT 1
