"Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" stars Whitney Rose and Justin Rose are officially parting ways.
After 17 years of marriage, Whitney Rose, 40, filed for divorce in a Utah court Tuesday, Oct. 6, according to records obtained by USA TODAY. She also filed a parenting plan regarding their two children, Brooks, 13, and Bobbie, 16.
Just hours later, the reality star attended Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea Awards in New York City, where she opened up to E! News about the split from Justin Rose, 58, and their living situation.
"We're nesting, so we share two homes," she said. "Our kids stay in one home and he and I move from home to home to keep the kids' security, safety, stability."

Whitney Rose added, "This process has taught me no matter what happens
between us, we will put the kids first, and that's all that matters to me, is my family is safe despite what happens in my marriage."
USA TODAY reached out to Bravo and representatives for Whitney Rose for comment.
Whitney Rose previously revealed marital troubles
Whitney and Justin Rose, who wed in 2009, have documented their relationship struggles on "RHOSLC." As Season 6 premiered in September 2025, Whitney Rose told USA TODAY she and Justin Rose were "still married" and "working through" things amid the failure of their joint business venture involving her skincare brand, Wild Rose Beauty.
"I share what's really going on in my life, and it's hard, but I share it all," she said.
This year, her feelings appeared to have changed, with the trailer for the currently-airing Season 7 featuring an emotional moment between the two where Whitney Rose admitted, "I don't know if you and I can move forward in our marriage, or if it's over."
While discussing the season with USA TODAY on Sept. 13, she confirmed "Justin and I are recently separated and working that out and figuring out next steps." She also said she was not dating yet and "just enjoying the separation."
In a recent episode, the Bravolebrity detailed a "really rough" 2025 for her and Justin Rose. "I was using alcohol to cope with my struggles at home," she said, noting she was "in pain."
She further shared that she needed "space away from Justin" after "disagreeing and arguing about the business snowballed into arguing about everything."
In her Oct. 6 interview with E! News, Whitney Rose said the show is "hard to rewatch it because that was some time ago" and she is now "in a completely different place and a different mindset."
"I'm very proud of Justin and I, we've remained amicable and coparenting," she said, adding that she intends to continue being "vulnerable and real" as she navigates the situation.
