Where there's a will, there's a way.
On Sunday, Sept. 13, Trinity Rodman was nearly in two places at once.
The Washington Spirit star started in the team's 3-0 loss to the Boston Legacy at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. The match kicked off at 1 p.m. ET.
An hour after the fixture started, Ben Shelton, Rodman's boyfriend, played in the US Open men's final against Alexander Zverev at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens.
Rodman had been in the crowd at the New York facility cheering on the No. 8 seed previously during the tournament. She even powered through the four-hour, five-set quarterfinals marathonwhere Shelton beat defending champion Carlos Alcaraz at 3:30 a.m. ET.
Somehow, after her game with the Spirit ended, she made her way
the 246 miles from the nation's capital to catch the end of the final match, where Shelton lost to the French Open winner in four sets.
It is uncertain when exactly in the three and a half-hour competition Rodman arrived.
In his post-match interview, Shelton directed some of his comments behind him to his family and friends. Rodman was shown on the ABC broadcast at the end of the row wearing a red cap and a custom black T-shirt with an image of Shelton on it.
"To my squad over here in this corner, every one of you guys is so special in your own way," Shelton said as Rodman clapped and wiped tears from her eyes. "You guys showed up to support me or have shown up to support me every day of my career. I appreciate you guys. Love you guys."

Zverev also acknowledged Rodman, who became thehighest-paid player in women's soccer earlier this year.
"I thought you had a game today, no?" he laughed and the USWNT forward smiled. "Well done to you as well. You're the lucky charm, so I'm happy. Not today, but usually."
