Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez makes his highly anticipated return to the ring after a 13-month hiatus, taking on the undefeated WBC super middleweight champion, Christian Mbilli, in the event titled ‘Mexico vs. The World.’
Álvarez (63-3-2) steps back into the spotlight for his first bout since a unanimous decision loss to Terence Crawford in September 2025. Now, Álvarez is determined to reclaim his status among boxing’s elite by capturing the coveted WBC title.
Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) first seized the WBC interim super middleweight belt in June 2025 with a dominant victory over Maciej Sulecki, then solidified his championship title by edging out Lester Martinez in a closely contested split decision three months later.
Elevated to full WBC champion in January
2026 after Crawford was stripped of the title, Mbilli now faces the biggest test of his career: a high-stakes clash with the Álvarez.
