Friday night in Celina, Ohio, was already going to be emotional as the Bulldogs hosted Bath for their senior night matchup.
The emotions were ramped up even more when senior quarterback Parker Wynk returned to the field and walked with his parents just 50 days after suffering a neck injury that left him in the hospital up until a day before the game.
Wynk suffered a spinal cord injury in the Bulldogs' season-opening win over St. Henry (OH) on Aug. 21. Dayton 24/7 reported that Wynk was unable to move or feel anything throughout his body after the injury happened.
Absolutely remarkable. Celina QB Parker Wynk walks on senior night with his fellow Bulldogs and family, just over a month after suffering a spinal injury on this very field. What an emotional

During his hospital stay, Wynk received an outpouring of support from the community and even a visit from Jim Tressell, the former Ohio State head coach and current Ohio Lieutenant Governor, just four days after the injury.
He also hosted a visit from Ohio State's current quarterback room, including 2025 Heisman Trophy finalist Julian Sayin.
Now 50 days removed from that night, Wynk walked onto the field wearing a neck brace and back support, with his family walking beside him as they took in the senior night festivities. According to a WDTN report, Wynk spent the last month and a half working to regain feeling in his hand and the ability to walk through rigorous physical therapy.
After he walked, Wynk watched his teammates dominate their senior night. The Bulldogs scored seven points in the first quarter, then went off for 28 in the second to take control.
They would go on to beat Bath 42-0 and improve to 8-0 on the year.
Celina has two games left on its regular-season schedule, and both'll be on the road. They'll play at Ottawa-Glandorf (OH) on Oct. 16 and close out the regular season at Defiance (OH) on Oct. 23.
