Phil Collins has harsh words for President Donald Trump.
The Genesis frontman appeared on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" on Friday, discussing his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, his health, music and the state of America.
The English singer, discussing his songwriting process, revealed he has been toying with an idea for a provocative song about the United States.
"I've got a song that's waiting to be written called 'Fat People With Guns,' which is about America," he told Morgan Oct. 2. "And I'll just write that phrase down so I don't forget it. And at some point I might, before somebody else does now, I might write a song around it."
Later in the interview, he explained his views on Trump, saying he doesn't think "a lot" of the U.S. president.
Collins recalled watching Trump's testimony during the E. Jean Carroll sexual abuse and defamation case with disdain.
"His whole manner is unattractive," Collins, 75, said. "Historically, presidents have been eloquent and elegant. You feel like, even if you don't agree with them, you still respect them. But when someone like Trump is as nasty as he is, you end up feeling dislike for him."

"He plays politics like a businessman. And it's not, like, really a business at all. It's diplomacy. But he sees everything as a deal, won or lost," he continued. "It's a very scary time. It wouldn't surprise me if he just tries to overrule the two-term deal. An American president can only serve two terms. Wouldn't surprise me if he tries to go against that."
Collins asserted, "I'm not a political person, but I do see right from wrong."
USA TODAY has reached out to the White House for comment.
Collins has criticized Trump before. He called the then-presidential candidate "a big accident waiting to happen" in 2016, and came out against the president using his song "In the Air Tonight" at a rally in 2020.
