Ford is recalling over 11,000 vehicles because of an issue that could affect a driver's visibility when in reverse.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue, which increases the risk of a crash, impacts certain Ford vehicles with a 10.1-inch center stack screen.
"The screen may lose power and fail to display the rearview camera image," the recall notice says.

Which model is included in the Ford recall?
According to the NHTSA, 11,405 vehicles are potentially affected by this recall. The model included is:
- 2026 Ford Ranger
The recall number associated with this issue is 26C42. Per the safety report, an identifiable warning that
can occur is a blank or black display screen.
No accidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
What should car owners do?
The NHTSA says the remedy is in progress, and car owners will be notified by letter when it becomes available. Initial letters addressing the safety risk will be sent out on Oct. 5.
