South Florida is expected to see plenty of showers and thunderstorms through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service Forecast Office Miami-South Florida.
"Numerous showers and storms will be possible each day through the weekend leading to localized flooding at times," reads the website for the NWS Office Miami-South Florida.
The risk is especially prevalent along the east coast metro areas, due to expected high rainfall rates and slow-moving storms.
Stronger thunderstorms on Saturday could "also contain gusty winds, frequent lightning" and "heavy downpours," with the highest rain chances during the afternoon and early evening this weekend.

Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are all
forecast to see their highest maximum probability of precipitation on Sunday — 90% at noon and 6 p.m. in all three cities.
