The high school football season in the southeastern portion of the country is truly underway and through two full weeks, we've already seen some massive and shocking results.
Some powers like IMG and St. Thomas Aquinas have rolled through their first few games. The Georgia high school football scene is as topsy-turvy as ever and programs from other surrounding states have already made their cases to be ranked.

1. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Record: 2-0
In a nationally televised showdown against one of Texas' 2025 state champions, the Raiders rolled past DeSoto (TX) 38-14. Notre Dame commits Zayden Gamble and Julius Jones each scored touchdowns in the win with Jones scoring on a 10-yard reception and Gamble on a 65-yard
punt return.

2. IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)
Record: 2-0
For the second straight week, the Ascenders jumped out to a massive first-half lead and never looked back as they rolled past Cornerstone Christian (TX) 59-10. ALL-USA third-teamer and 2028 Georgia quarterback commit Jayden Wade threw three touchdowns in the win while sophomore running back Cayden Gould totaled 104 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

3. Buford (GA)
Record: 1-0
The Wolves were off last week but this upcoming week will be the debut of the top player in the USA TODAY Sports 2027 composite ranking and ALL-USA first team preseason selection, Jalen Brewster. The Texas Tech five-star commit announced he was transferring from Cedar Hill (TX) to Buford following the Wolves' season-opening win over Gainesville.

4. Columbus (Miami, FL)
Record: 2-0
There was arguably no bigger story in the high school football scene last week than A'Mir Sears and his performance against Bishop Gorman (NV). Against the previously ranked No. 2 team in the country, the five-star Miami commit had a generational performance in the 33-28 win catching a pair of touchdown passes and recording three interceptions.

5. Thompson (Alabaster, AL)
Record: 2-0
Alabama quarterback commit Trent Seaborn had a nearly perfect night in the Warriors' 37-13 win over Clay-Chalkville going 22-for-25 passing for 292 yards and four touchdowns. His favorite target in the win was Arkansas commit Darion Moseley, who caught nine passes for 154 yards and a touchdown.

6. Baylor (Chattanooga, TN)
Record: 2-0
Tennessee five-star running back commit David Gabriel Georges was limited to 70 yards and a touchdown in the Red Raiders' 37-12 win over Loudoun Sports Academy (VA). Instead, it was rising junior Antwaun "Cornbread" Adams who stood out, catching five passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.

7. Carrollton (GA)
Record: 2-0
The Trojans have been the most dominant team in the Peach State through the first few weeks as they followed up a 48-point week 1 win by beating Columbia 61-6. Miami sophomore quarterback commit CJ Cypher had nearly as many touchdown passes as incomplete passes in the win, going 23-for-30 for 324 yards and six touchdowns.

8. Brentwood Academy (TN)
Record: 2-0
The Eagles took out some frustrations from their week 1 loss to Baylor on their neighbors down the road as they crushed Brentwood (TN) 49-14. Ole Miss quarterback commit Crews Jenkins was 20-of-26 in the win, passing for 378 yards and four touchdowns, two of those touchdowns and 154 yards going to MTSU receiver commit Lex Baskin.

9. West Boca Raton (FL)
Record: 1-0
The Bulls were off last week. This week they'll play a Spanish River (FL) side who opened the season with an 18-7 loss to Atlantic but bounced back last week with a 43-0 win over South Plantation (FL).
Next game: Friday, Sept. 4, at Spanish River (FL), 6:30 p.m. ET
10. Thomas County (GA)
Record: 2-0
No team in Georgia has been as efficient offensively as the Yellow Jackets as they've scored back-to-back games with more than 50 points following a 63-14 win over Lincoln (GA). Through two weeks Thomas County is averaging 60 points per game and winning by an average of 42.5 points.
Next game: Friday, Sept. 4, vs. Lithonia (GA), 7:30 p.m. ET
11. Carol City (Miami Gardens, FL)
Record: 1-1
Miami five-star commit Nick Lennear had a pair of first-half touchdowns in Carol City's road trip to Lee County (GA). However, that would be the last offensive success they would have as Lee County rallied in the second half en route to picking up the 23-20 win.
Next game: Friday, Sept. 4, vs. Norland (FL), 7 p.m. ET
12. Ruston (LA)
Record: 0-0
The Bearcats' road to state championship No. 10 kicks off this week against a Neville (LA) side they beat 41-37 last season. Five-star LSU tight end commit Ahmad Hudson scored multiple times in Ruston's final preseason scrimmage.

13. Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC)
Record: 1-0
Weather delayed the Silver Foxes' season-opener against Ridge View (SC) numerous times. When the final lightning delay happened, the game was called with Dutch Fork getting the 35-13 victory. Senior quarterback Jaxon Knotts threw a pair of touchdowns and ran in a pair in the win.
Next game: Friday, Sept. 4, at Spartanburg (SC), 7:30 p.m. ET
14. North Gwinnett (GA)
Record: 2-0
Since their season-opening win over Grayson, the Bulldogs have flown under the radar but got back in the win column last week. Led by 151 yards and two touchdowns from Stephen Brown, the Bulldogs rushed for nearly 250 yards as a team in a 40-0 win over Collins Hill (GA).
Next game: Friday, Sept. 4, vs. Walton (GA), 7:30 p.m. ET
15. Clay-Chalkville (AL)
Record: 1-1
The Cougars started off hot on the road at Thompson (AL), scoring first and taking nearly six minutes off of the clock on their opening drive. Then the Warriors took over and Clay-Chalkville did not score again until the final play of the night.
Next game: Friday, Sept. 4, at Springville (AL), 7 p.m. CT
