NASCAR is preparing for a big weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The track in Concord, North Carolina will host the sixth race in the Cup Series’ postseason Chase on Sunday, Oct. 11 – the Bank of America 400 – as well as a race in the Truck Series on Friday and a race in the second-tier O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday. Additionally, after the Truck Series race on Friday night, NASCAR will host an open-to-the-public celebration of life for the late driver Kyle Busch, with speakers and a performance by Cole Swindell.
But bad weather threatens to spoil NASCAR’s plans for the race weekend.
Here’s what the forecast looks like as of Thursday, Oct. 8 at 12:55 p.m. ET.
