LongHorn Steakhouse is responding after a video showing cockroaches crawling around a Georgia location went viral.
Sean Headley, a now former employee, recorded and posted the video to social media, which
showed overflowing trash cans, dirty floors and even cockroaches crawling around the kitchen as well as servers eating food off of plates before they were served to guests.
Headley recorded the video on Aug. 19, he told local news station WSB-TV. He no longer works at the restaurant and said he recorded the video on his last day there.
"Really, it was the work environment and the conditions that we were working in," Headley said to another local news outlet, FOX 5 Atlanta. "There were a lot of inhumane conditions."
Headley requested basic tools and raised health-hazard concerns with LongHorn's corporate offices, but told the news outlet he believes they dismissed his requests.
The restaurant is in East Point, Georgia, about seven miles southwest of Atlanta.
In a statement emailed to USA TODAY, a LongHorn representative stated that the issues recorded in Headley's video were addressed and that it has placed new leadership in the restaurant after the video went viral.

Inside health inspections for the restaurant
During a health inspection on Sept. 11, the restaurant received a score of 78 out of 100 for multiple code violations, including violations involving handwashing, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health. The restaurant also received violations regarding plumbing, food storage and more. However, an inspection on Aug. 25, less than a week after Headley said the video was recorded, gave the restaurant a score of 90.
The restaurant received another inspection on Sept. 14 and scored 99 out of 100, with only one violation involving surfaces that do not come into contact with food.
Health inspections from Oct. 31, 2025, to Sept. 14, 2026, list no violations involving pests such as cockroaches.

It is known for its western aesthetic and serves various cuts of beef, chicken, seafood, burgers and its popular parmesan crust, which is a featured topping on many of its menu items.
