For some states, the season is even deeper, meaning state playoffs are around the corner. In the USA TODAY Sports Super 25 high school football rankings, St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) continues to hold the top spot as we enter another big week.

USA TODAY Sports has developed composite rankings, using five different national polls (USA TODAY, MaxPreps, SC Next, HSFB America and Massey) to make up the composite rankings. Each is weighted differently to add credibility to the rankings.
