You can't rush to conclusions after the first two weeks of fantasy football. But by Week 3? You can start feeling more conviction in what you're seeing on the field and grab onto more data points that help translate the rest of the season.
We're somehow already coming up on nearly a quarter of the way through the 2026 regular season and some performances are more than just early season flashes in the pan. Now is the time to be buying from the panicked 0-3 teams and selling to the cocky 3-0 teams.
With that said, here are 10 fantasy football trade targets for Week 4:
Week 4 fantasy football players to buy
RB Bhayshul Tuten, Jaguars
We spent training camp waiting for Tuten or Chris Rodriguez Jr. to separate and become the leader in Jacksonville's backfield and just might have our answer after three weeks. Tuten is averaging
4.7 yards per carry to Rodriguez's 3.6 and looks like the much more explosive option. QB Trevor Lawrence is also running less than he did last season, making Tuten a buy even if the price is expensive.
WR Malik Washington, Dolphins
Miami had one star player on offense, RB De'Von Achane, and he tore his ACL on Sunday and is out for the season. The Dolphins, who were already a tough watch, are likely going to have to throw more in his absence. Washington is their WR1 by all metrics except for touchdowns so far this season and should be available on waivers or for cheap on the trade market. USA TODAY's Jack McKessy writes, "The yards and touchdowns haven't been there much for Washington week to week, but the target share and catch output make him an intriguing addition at WR3/FLEX in PPR scoring."
QB J.J. McCarthy, Giants
Sure, why not. If there's ever another coach to get McCarthy back to the quarterback who won a national championship in 2023, it's a Harbaugh, and at the rate we're going with QB injuries, you're going to be looking at some gross options mid-season. Jameis Winston looks like a guy who worked as TV correspondent all summer, meaning McCarthy is going to get a shot within the next couple weeks and can probably be had for cheap in your league.
WR Jameson Williams, Lions
I know, it's been a rough start to the season for Jamo believers (10/127/0 in three games), but the point of this is to buy low, right? The Lions have one of the softest upcoming schedules in the league, so while Williams has taken a complete backseat to Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs, he's going to get his chances to score soon. You might be able to use the frustration of the Williams owner to your advantage this week.
RB Zach Charbonnet, Seahawks
The Seattle running back is such a buy in his return from a torn ACL that he's going to end up appearing in this column every week. None of the younger Seahawks running backs have separated in Charbonnet's absence and this is an offense that wants to run the ball. If he's available, grab a future weekly RB1 for currently injured RB prices.
Week 4 fantasy football players to sell
WR Davante Adams, Rams
Don't sprint to the trade block if you have Adams, but just keep in mind that the 33-year-old is currently third in the NFL in receiving yards. Puka Nacua hasn't played in two weeks but isn't going to miss the rest of the year, and Adams hasn't played a full season since 2023. It's far more likely that Adams reverts back to a secondary touchdown scoring role when Nacua returns. That profile is still valuable, but if you can get a true WR1 return for Adams, it's worth exploring.
RB David Montgomery, Texans
If someone is desperate enough at the position to buy a goal-line running back who is no longer getting all the goal line carries and is running behind a putrid offensive line at a clip of 2.8 ypc, you should let them.
QB Brock Purdy, 49ers
Arguably the NFL MVP through three weeks, Purdy saw yet another wide receiver, Mike Evans, go down on Sunday. At some point, it's going to matter that Purdy is down to veterans George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel on offense. It's 2026. Sell high on Purdy and bet that his weapons show their age in November.
RB Ollie Gordon, Dolphins
A popular name on the waiver wire this week, Gordon turned 17 carries after replacing the injured Achane into just 41 yards and a touchdown. The second-year running back did little as a rookie and chances are, isn't going to become a star in an offense that was holding back Achane. If you were lucky enough to already have Gordon on the bench, this might be the highest his value will be all season.
RB Josh Jacobs, Packers
Even if Jacobs were returning from his suspension this week - and he's not - he would be a sell. Green Bay's offensive line looks like one of the worst units in the league, and while Jacobs is definitely an improvement over the Packers' current running backs, he's still not going to overcome those structural issues halfway through the season. Sell for anything you can get in return.
