Marcello Hernández's Emmys bit was the talk of the town.
Moments before the "Saturday Night Live" star presented "Widow's Bay" director Hiro Murai with the Emmy for outstanding directing in a comedy series, he used his five minutes to shout out and invite to dinner some of his favorite stars.
"It's an honor for me to be here. It’s my first time at the Emmys," Hernández said during the Sept. 14 ceremony. "I get to present, so I just want to take this opportunity to say hi to a few people I might not be able to say hi to later."
He continued: "I want to say hi toZendaya.You’re a beast, and you’re amazing. And I saw you, and I wanted to play it cool, and I decided I can’t do that. So I would like to invite you and Spider-Man to have dinner at my house."
The "Euphoria" actor and Tom Holland appeared to be charmed by Hernández's fanboy antics, smiling and nodding along as the comedian delivered his spiel. At one point, Zendaya turned to look back at Holland, who appeared to delight in the bit.
In addition to sharing an exchange with the "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" costars, Hernández also extended warm greetings to Hollywood titan Harrison Ford andOscar Isaac,who were both nominated for Emmys in their respective categories.
Hernández concluded the bit with a special acknowledgement directed at Matthew McConaughey. Hernández recounted a story of his aunt telling him as a kid that if he worked "very hard," he could one day get the chance to hang out with the "Interstellar" actor.
"I’m basically doing it," he joked.
Tom Holland supports Zendaya with rare Emmys appearance
Holland was not about to let his lady fly solo.
He was spotted in the crowd shortly after Rhea Seehorn won the Emmy for best lead actress in a drama series, the same category Zendaya was up for.

Zendaya was also nominated in the category for “Euphoria.”

The power couple clapped enthusiastically as they and the room, filled with television's best and brightest, gave the "Pluribus" actor a standing ovation.
Holland flew under the radar, skipping the carpet as Zendaya stole the show with her chic pixie cut and sparkling frock on the red carpet. Meanwhile, the actor donned a sleek, all-black look.
Earlier in the evening, Zendaya took the stage to present the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, which went to Jean Smart for her portrayal of Deborah Vance in "Hacks."
Zendaya's longtime stylist Law Roach was also in attendance, posing for photographs in the moments before the starlet made her way onto the carpet. Roach held up the train of Zendaya's dress to avoid any missteps on the carpet.
