The Boston Logan International Airport is looking for new talent to voice overhead PSAs with an open audition.
Through Oct. 4, Massachusetts residents may submit their best takes at an airport Public Service Announcement through an online audition portal. Following a round of judging and public voting, one resident will be selected to record PSAs that will be broadcast throughout the airport's terminals.
The fresh PSAs will be heard by more than 43 million passengers who travel through the Boston Logan International Airport each year, according to Massachusetts Port Authority.
The title of airport announcer can be a coveted position, and a handful of celebrities welcome passengers at some of the country's top airports. In 2019, the Los Angeles
International Airport (LAX) announced that late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, former LA Dodgers player Justin Turner, renowned local chef Susan Feniger and former Los Angeles Philharmonic director Gustavo Dudamel would welcome guests, per LAX X posts.

How to enter Voice of Logan audition
To enter the Voice of Logan audition, folks must:
- Enter their contact information on the Voice of Logan website at voiceoflogan.com.
- Record an up-to-60-second video reading a provided script (see below).
- Upload the video to the Voice of Logan website.
All auditioners will be asked to record a video reading the following script:
"Welcome to Boston Logan International Airport − front door to the capital of heart, hustle, and hometown pride. This city runs on iced coffee, raw ambition, and unbeatable team spirit. So let’s go. Whether you’re grabbing a lobster roll by the harbor, waiting in line for a cannoli in the North End, heading out to Gloucester for a little salt air, or paying your respects to the Green Monster like it’s a sacred landmark (because it is) − we’re wicked glad you’re here."
After the submission period, five finalists will be selected to participate in a live audition in the Boston area. Audio files of the finalist auditions will be posted on the Voice of Logan website for public voting, according to the official contest rules.
Who can enter the Voice of Logan audition?
Massachusetts residents who are at least 18 years old may enter the audition, according to the official contest rules.
How will auditions be judged?
Entrants will be judged on the following criteria, according to the official contest rules:
- The Boston Logan "Vibe": We want a voice that feels like home. When travelers land, your voice should make them feel welcome, safe and grounded.
- Crystal Clarity: Airports are loud. Really loud. We need a voice that cuts through the terminal noise without ever raising the volume.
- Smooth Delivery: Can you give directions or share a PSA without sounding like a robot?
- Keep it Real: Don’t "over-act." We just want the most authentic version of you!
- Why you?: Along with your voice, we want to hear the reason you’re drawn to represent Boston Logan and why this role feels personal to you.
When do auditions close?
Voice of Logan Auditions end at 11:59 p.m. ET on Oct. 4.
When will the Voice of Logan winner be announced?
The winner will be announced on or around Nov. 5, according to the official contest rules.
Minneapolis airport casts staff for similar campaign
While the Boston Logan International Airport is the only one running a contest of this sort, the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) runs an annual Voices of MSP program that invites airport employees to record PSAs and travel announcements.
The sixth cohort of the program was announced in February and includes an airport firefighter, Caribou Coffee director of operations, transportation security manager and various other airline roles, according to an MSP news release.
