The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams are facing off in a Week 5 "Monday Night Football" game that many view as a potential Super Bowl 61 preview.
That comes even despite the Rams – the preseason favorite to win the Super Bowl – entering the Week 5 clash with a 2-2 record. Los Angeles has started slower than expected, but its Week 4, come-from-behind victory over the Philadelphia Eagles inspired hope that Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and Co. are rounding into form.
As for the Bills, they are coming off a disappointing home loss to the New England Patriots during which 2025 MVP runner-up Drake Maye rounded into form after a slow start to the 2026 season. The loss highlighted some of Buffalo's defensive deficiencies, especially in the secondary,
where Maye beat them deep.
Even so, the Bills always remain a threat to win because of their explosive offense. Josh Allen has slowed slightly after an MVP-caliber start to the season, but he is still one of the best playmaking quarterbacks in the NFL. His matchup against a Rams defense that ranks third league-wide in pressure rate, per the NFL's Next Gen Stats, will be a fun, strength-on-strength matchup to watch.
If the Rams can pressure Allen and force him into some mistakes, they should have a good chance to improve to 3-2. But if Allen can avoid that pressure and be both efficient and explosive, that will go a long way toward giving the Bills a chance to improve to 4-1.

- Rams 31, Bills 24: "The Rams are fresh off a come-from-behind win over the Eagles that seemed to exorcise some of the demons plaguing their offense early in the season. Now, Los Angeles gets to face a Buffalo defense that has allowed at least 29 points in three of its four games this season. Expect this one to be a shootout, but Matthew Stafford should ultimately lead the Rams to victory." – Jacob Camenker
