The question comes after LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt was listed as "doubtful" on the Tigers' initial SEC student-athlete availability report
that was released on Wednesday, Sept. 16. It remains unclear what type of injury Leavitt has sustained that has him listed as "doubtful" for the top-10 matchup against Mississippi.Leavitt was one of 10 LSU players included on the report, which includes linebacker Whit Weeks and tight end Trey'Dez Green, both of whom were listed as "probable."
The Arizona State transfer arrived at LSU this past offseason
coming off a season-ending foot injury that required surgery last season with the Sun Devils.
Leavitt struggled at times in LSU's Week 2 win over Louisiana Tech, turning the ball over three times despite throwing for almost 400 yards. He has four interceptions and two touchdowns in two starts this season in Kiffin's offense.
