Ariana Grande is preparing to step away from the public eye. The popstar has been in the limelight without a break for years as she promoted both Wicked films, then launched The Eternal Sunshine tour earlier this summer.

The Eternal Sunshine Tour was Grande's first return to the stage in six years. But, it's come with a lot of scrutiny on her physical appearance. There are two U.S. dates left in her tour, both taking place at United Center in Chicago, before the star embarks on a short residency in London that will come to an end on Sept. 1.

In a statement to USA TODAY, the 33-year-old star's team had this to say:

"Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour," the statement said. "She looks forward

to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.

"This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much."
