Shohei Ohtani (at least for now) silenced the doubters and critics with a three-run home run in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Ohtani had a conversation with manager Dave Roberts earlier this week about remaining in the lineup despite a prolonged slump.
The decision paid off: this was his first home run in 116 plate appearances. He had not hit a home run since a game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field on Aug. 18.
The Dodgers star sent the ball 428 feet into right center field, giving the Dodgers a 4-0 lead in Game 4.
