Jessie J is stepping away from social media.
The British singer, 38, took to Instagram Sep. 7, to announced her "digital cleanse," while reassuring fans she is doing "OK."
She told her followers she was "tapping out" of the digital world "for a while" and into the real one. "To give my mind, body and heart a well needed hug," she said.
The star, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, said the "wild" events of the last couple of years had spurred the decision, referring to the time period as "magical, successful, life changing and extremely busy."
The star pointed out several events that had taken place in the last two years, including raising a toddler, going through a breakup, relocating from the U.S. back to the U.K. and being diagnosed with and beating
breast cancer.
"The past 2 years has taken a toll on parts of me that I haven’t had time to give space and grace to," she wrote. "Now’s the time. Work has slowed down. So healing speeds up please."
The "Price Tag" singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2025 while promoting her album "Don't Tease Me With A Good Time." At the time, she told fans she had been "in and out of tests" and underwent surgery later that month.
In May, she announced she was cancer-free, one year after her breast cancer diagnosis.
The star has been open about turning painful times into art. "I believe I've gone through all the things I have to help people," she told Women's Health in December. "Even if it's just to write songs about it." In the same interview, she said how taking fans along with her as she navigated the diagnosis had also helped others.
"I hear all the time from people who say that a friend checked her breasts after seeing me talking about it," she told the magazine.
In her Instagram post Monday, the star said she would be using the time offline to "finally" have her second cancer reconstruction surgery and "to recharge, heal, to rest, to process, to love on myself and my boy, to water the next chapter of my life and most importantly be present and really live."
Jessie J shares a 3-year-old son named Sky with her former partner, retired basketball player Chanan Colman.
The star explained that by spending so much time on her phone and on social media platforms, she was never able to prioritize healing.
"See you when feels right," the star wrote. "Love you all."
