The latest week of results around women's volleyball brought no changes to the top five.
That means, for another week, the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the AVCA Coaches Poll will be owned by Nebraska and Pittsburgh, respectively.
The Cornhuskers went 2-0 on the week with a sweep over Northwestern and a win over No. 13 Purdue that went into the fourth set. In that four-set match against the Boilermakers, the Cornhuskers had four players finish with at least 10 kills on offense — with Harper Murray responsible for 13. The defense held Purdue to a .133 hitting percentage and recorded 64 digs.
Pitt, after sustaining a slight setback last week, had a clean sweep of victories
against Florida State and Miami. Elsewhere in the top five, Louisville extended its win streak to eight with back-to-back 3-0 victories against Duke and No. 23 North Carolina.
Outside of the top five, Oregon won a five-set thriller against No. 18 Indiana. The Ducks outscored the Hoosiers 15-19 in the fifth set. Florida and Texas met in a top-10 showdown in Austin that went the distance, with the Gators coming out with a 3-2 win. Kamryn Chaney and Alec Rothe both finished with 17 kills for Florida.
