Celine Dion is OK after taking a tumble onstage during a recent show.
The "My Heart Will Go On" singer, 58, slipped and fell onstage midway through a song during her Paris residency on Oct. 7.
Video from the concert shows Dion apparently slipping after her pants caught on one of her heels at Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, a western suburb of Paris. A performance veteran, Dion quickly got back up, gave a thumbs-up and continued singing her 1998 song "Dans un autre monde" as if nothing had happened.
She later changed into a black dress and sang "Pour que tu m’aimes encore," according to People, and whispered to the audience that she had forgotten the lyrics to the 1995 track. The crowd helped her out by singing along.
Residency marks Celine Dion's return to live music
Dion's limited five-week residency
in France is her first return to live music in six years and comes ahead of another residency at the same arena in May.
The five-time Grammy winner's hiatus came after she revealed her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis in December 2022. The rare neurological condition causes muscle spasms, making her unable to perform live.
She opened up about living with the condition in her 2024 documentary "I Am: Celine Dion."
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar published Aug. 18, Dion explained that she worked to regain her strength and maintain control of her body through a fitness regimen that included 90-minute Pilates sessions three times a week and ballet twice a week.
"This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life. I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you," Dion told the outlet. "It’s been so long, I would like to offer them something to show how I’ve missed them."
In her opening show on Sept. 12, Dion tearfully celebrated her comeback, saying, "I promised I wouldn’t cry – but they’re tears of joy."
"I’m standing on stage in this city I love so much thanks to your support and your love," she told the audience. "The path was rocky, the road was longer than planned, but I held on."
