"Dancing with the Stars" Season 35 Super Bowl Night had an unexpected face cheering in the crowd.
Justin Baldoni, who has largely receded from the public eye amid an ongoing legal battle with Blake Lively, was seen in the reality competition's ballroom Oct. 13 with his wife Emily Baldoni and their two children Maiya, 11, and Maxwell, 8, Page Six reported.
Entertainment Weekly also posted a video of the family looking for their seats before the show began.
The Baldonis were invited by longtime friend and "DWTS" cohost Julianne Hough, according to Page Six. Hough previously made an appearance in Baldoni’s 2016 docuseries "My Last Days."
A rep for Baldoni did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for a comment on his attendance.
Baldoni, who
has largely kept a low profile since his dispute with his "It Ends With Us" co-star, opened up on the emotional toll of his long legal battle in July.
Baldoni says family is 'healing'
“We have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years,” the "Jane the Virgin" actor, 42, said in the nearly five-minute July 7 video on Instagram that also featured his wife. “There have been so many painful things that have been spoken into existence. We didn’t want to add to the noise, so we just wanted to let the justice system run its course.”
Thanking supporters who stood by them throughout the litigation, the Baldonis said they are "healing."
"And if you've ever been through something traumatic, you know that healing isn't linear. It looks different every day," Baldoni said.
Last month, Baldoni also gave a peek into his next project for which he is reuniting with his “Jane the Virgin” co-star, Gina Rodriguez.
Baldoni will produce Rodriguez's directorial debut “House of Guerrero" alongside his production company, Wayfarer Studios, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
