Unless we find out Caleb Williams is available, I'm firmly on Philadelphia. The lookahead line had Chicago favored, but the Eagles are now laying 4.5 and have reached -5.5 at some shops. Credit Minnesota's defense, but the Bears were lifeless last week even before Williams exited. Tyson Bagent provided no spark and is now in concussion protocol, leaving journeyman Case Keenum as Chicago's only healthy quarterback. That 59-point opener feels like a fever dream. Philadelphia is 2-0 after stealing a win in Tennessee; Jalen Hurts is clicking with DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley expects to play. Losing Dallas Goedert hurts, but Zach Ertz provides an experienced replacement. Unless the Eagles play with their food, this shouldn't be difficult.

Why the Bears will cover the spread
Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum. It doesn't matter. The Bears cracked the code against the Eagles last season, taking care of business on Black Friday. That was then, and this is now, but this is where Ben Johnson makes his money. Even if Williams doesn't play, Chicago still has plenty of skill to cover. The Bears will have the home crowd and one of the brightest offensive coaches in the league on their side. This line is an overreaction to Williams' injury.
