The three-day Labor Day weekend is an occasion for many restaurants to have deals for dining out – it's your day off, why cook, right?
McDonald's $2 breakfast sandwich deal can be redeemed over the holiday, but the fast-food giant also has travelers covered with a discount on gas at Shell stations. Both deals are available now for members of the MyMcDonald's Rewards loyalty program
, through Labor Day weekend and into October.Rewards members can find a deal for a $2 Breakfast Sandwich in the McDonald's app (choices include the Egg McMuffin, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit; and Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddles), good through Oct. 4. Also in the app, members will find an option to redeem points for 50 cents off per gallon at participating Shell stations.
To get the deal, redeem your points by Sept. 12 and you will get a code to use in the Shell app. You must join the Shell Fuel Rewards program (new customers only) and opt into Rewards. The code is good until Oct. 31.
7-Eleven deals over Labor Day weekend
Convenience store chains has several ongoing deals for members of the 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards loyalty programs at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores participating including:
- $6 Sandwich Meal Deal: Get a hot sandwich and a 20-ounce Coca-Cola or Pepsi for $6 (offer good through Oct. 27).
- $3 Roller Grill Meal Deal: Loyalty members can get any roller grill item, a bag of 7-Select chips and a large Big Gulp drink for $3 (offer good through Oct. 27).
- $2 deals: Choose from $2 select snacks and drinks including 19.2-ounce Liquid Death tea cans, 16-ounce Reign and Bang energy drinks, Kettle Brand chips, and single-serving Cheetos and Doritos bags (offer good through Sept. 14).
- $10 Half-Gallon Margaritas: Get these wine-based frozen margaritas in Classic Lime, Strawberry and Strawberry Lime Swirl flavors at the 650-plus Laredo Taco Company restaurants within select 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores across the United States.
- $25 Nugget Party Packs: These meals, with 24 chicken nuggets, two large sides, four biscuits, dipping sauces and cinnamon-sugar hand pies, are available at the 100-plus Raise the Roost restaurants in select locations.
More Labor Day weekend deals
- Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop: Rewards Members can get $5 off a Hot Party Tray on Labor Day. Choose between the Classic Cheesesteak Party Tray and Capastrami Party Tray.
- Catalina Crunch: The healthy snack brand has a 15% off deal sitewide on Monday, Sept. 7. That means a discount on products such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal and Protein Snack Mix in flavors including Cheddar, Creamy Ranch and Honey Mustard.
- Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen: The casual dining restaurant chain has a limited-time $24.99 Chicken Tender Family Bundle, which includes 16 chicken tenders, dipping sauces, two family-sized sides, and six Honey Butter Croissants. (Offer for to-go and delivery only on Cheddars.com; offer good through Sept. 27.)
- Del Taco: Members of the Del Yeah! Rewards loyalty program can get 20% off a $10 minimum purchase Saturday, Sept. 5, to Monday, Sept. 7. Orders must be placed via the Del Taco app or at deltaco.com.
- Denny's: The chain's Diner Days specials over Labor Day weekend include 50% off a Diner Dipper when you spend $25 or more (Saturday, Sept. 5), 15% off Dinner/Late Night (up to $10 off/$8 minimum spend; Sunday, Sept. 6), and $10 off orders of $30 or more (Monday, Sept. 7).
- DoorDash: Customers who spend $25 get $8 off at Culver's. DashPass subscribers ($9.99 monthly, $0 delivery fees and reduced services fees) get $9 off when they spend $30. The offer is good all Thursday-to-Monday dates through Nov. 8.
- Dog Haus: On Monday, Sept. 7, members of the Dog Haus Rewards loyalty program order online or in the app can earn 2X Points (offer good on dine-in and delivery).
- Eddie Merlot’s: Through Sept. 7, guests can receive $25 off online orders of $75 or more with promo code WEEKEND, Available for online orders only.Hash Kitchen: There's a Labor Day weekend $7 brunch special – choose from Pancakes, brioche French Toast, or Waffle. Firehouse Subs: Through Monday, Sept. 7, when you buy any sub, get another one for just $1. The deal applies to any sub, any size, with the discount on the lower-priced item. Also, with every purchase of at least $10, you are automatically entered for a chance to win MLP postseason tickets including a chance to attend the World Series.
- Grubhub: The delivery service has several deals over the Labor Day weekend including buy one 6-piece McNuggets, get one free, on McDonald’s orders of $15 or more (Sept. 4-Sept. 7), and a free Nachos Bell Grande with Taco Bell orders of $22 or more (Sept. 4-Sept. 7). Additional deals for members of GrubHub+ ($9.99 monthly for $0 delivery fees and lower service charges) include buy one Whopper Jr., get one free, on orders of $15 or more (Sept. 4-Sept. 6) and a free Chipotle entrée on orders of $25 or more (Sept. 7). - Huddle House: Kids eat free on Labor Day (and all Mondays) with the purchase of an adult entrée of $8 or more. Also, join the Huddle House Rewards program and get 25 bonus points for signing up.
- Insomnia Cookies: Through Monday, Sept. 7, when you buy a 24-Pack of warm cookies at the regular price, you get two free pints of Insomnia’s signature Cookies IN Ice Cream.
- Jersey Mike's: For the start of the college football season, on Saturday, Sept. 5, get a free 22-ounce fountain drink with the purchase of a sub (use the promo code DRPEPPER).
- Jimmy John's: From Friday, Sept. 4, through Monday, Sept. 7, members of the JJ Rewards loyalty program can buy one Toasted or Favorite 8-inch Sandwich and get one of equal or lesser value free (use promo code TOASTED; limit one per user, while supplies last).
- KFC: The day after Labor Day, Tuesday, Sept. 8, you can get in on the chain's $10 Tuesdays deal for a bucket full of eight drumsticks and thighs.
- Krystal: On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, get an Original Sackful of Krystal burgers for $12 or a Cheese Sackful for $15.

- Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken: Get a $5 reward on Labor Day for signing up for the rewards program.

- Tijuana Flats: For Labor Day weekend, get free delivery on orders of $35 or more.
