The victims of the deadly In-N-Out Burger shooting, including an employee who was killed, have been identified by officials.
Three people were killed in the shooting, which occurred at around 2:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, Aug. 1, in Twin Falls, Idaho, USA TODAY previously reported. Seven people were also injured.
Lane Koehn, a witness who recorded the shooting with his cell phone, told local news outlet KTVB-TV that he saw the shooter holding what seemed to be a semi-automatic rifle.
The suspected shooter is Chad Williams, 24, according to officials. An armed civilian and a police officer both shot at the shooter, but he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officials believe the shooter acted alone and are working to uncover the motive for
the shooting, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks stated during a news conference, which was recorded and posted to YouTube by Idaho News 6.
The shooting occurred just over a week after the Twin Falls location opened on Monday, July 24, according to USA TODAY's previous reporting. It was the latest In-N-Out location to open.
The community was excited about the location's opening, and it was filled with people on the Saturday afternoon the shooter opened fire at the location, Josh Palmer, a Twin Falls spokesman, stated.
"Everyone is really saddened by it," Palmer said. "It’s a small town still, so a lot of people know someone who was there or worked there. Saying it hits close to home is an understatement."

Who were the victims?
The Twin Falls Police Department identified the victims who were killed in the shooting:
- Ashley Garibay, 23, of Stockton, California
- Dale Schultz, 66, of Salt Lake City, Utah
- Christopher Claunch, 59, of Hagerman, Idaho
The identities of the victims were previously withheld while officials contacted their next of kin.
Remembering the victims
Ashley Garibay
One of the victims killed in the shooting was Ashley Garibay, 23, from Stockton, California, according to police. She was an In-N-Out employee who was working at the time of the shooting.
"We will remember Ashley as a beloved friend and teammate whose dedication, pride, and compassion will never be forgotten," In-N-Out stated in a post on its Instagram. "We extend our deepest condolences to Ashley’s family, friends, loved ones, and fellow Associates during this incredibly difficult time."
Garibay's family has also created a GoFundMe to raise money to lay "Ashley to rest in the most beautiful way," her family stated on the Fundraiser's page.
"Ashley was an amazing soul, with the most beautiful heart and radiant smile," the Garibay family said. "Ashley was a beloved daughter, sister, auntie and best friend to everyone she met."
Dale Schultz
Schultz, another victim who was killed in the shooting, was remembered by the Madeleine Choir School and his church, St. Olaf Catholic Church, in Utah. He was a "beloved alumni parent, gifted artist, and member of our extended Choir School family."
His wife, Reinette, was also among the victims who were shot, but is receiving treatment at a hospital for her injuries, the school said in a post on Facebook
"During this difficult time, we invite our school community to continue to pray for the Schultz family as they traverse this horrific loss and injury," the school stated.
On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the church also invited parishioners to pray the rosary together for the Schultz family, and stated it will hold another gathering on Thursday, Aug. 6.
Christopher Claunch
Christopher Claunch worked at Renaissance Ranch, a recovery center that helped people with addiction receive treatment, reported local news outlet KTVB.
Claunch, who had recently celebrated two years of sobriety, dedicated himself to helping others recover.
"He was an all-star," Clayton Hall, a friend of Claunch, told KTVB. "He was a rock star, and just there are so many men today that have him to thank for their sobriety, and that's going to be missed because we need a lot more of that."
