Seemingly every week of the high school football season in Texas has had a massive matchup that shook up the rankings in some way. However, that was not the case last week.
The top teams in the state took care of business while the state's biggest game for this week's slate featured two teams that were on an off week and preparing for that huge showdown.
Here are our updated rankings for the top 10 high school football teams in Texas.
1. Allen (TX)

Next game: Thursday, Oct. 15, at Rock Hill (TX), 7 p.m. CT
For the second straight game, the Eagles put up 70 points in another impressive win. Jrue Simmons and Devorion Hambric each scored two rushing touchdowns as Allen crushed Prosper Rock Hill (TX) 70-14.

Record: 7-0
Next game: Friday, Oct. 16, vs. Lake
Ridge (TX), 7 p.m. CT
The Panthers gave up a season-high 35 points to Mansfield Lake Ridge (TX) but that didn't matter as they put up 76 points themselves. Kiante Ingram (150 yards, 3 touchdowns) and G'Yrell Smith (123 yards, 2 touchdowns) continued their dominance while Jacob Torres had three touchdown passes on just seven attempts.
