MEDINAH, Ill., — The first matches of the 2026 Presidents Cup are set.
The best golfers from the U.S. and the best international golfers from outside Europe begin their biennial team match-play event at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago on Thursday, Sept. 24. The first day will feature five matches of four-ball play starting with Americans Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns taking on Sungjae Im and Min Woo Lee. The U.S. team will also use 21-year-old PGA Tour rookie Jackson Koivun in its initial wave of matches, pairing him with veteran Justin Thomas.
The first team to 15.5 points wins the Presidents Cup. The U.S. has lost the event just once since it was created in 1994 and the Americans are a heavy favorite again.
