Popeyes says customers have been combining its chicken, biscuits and honey on their own. Now, the fast-food chain is making the combination official.
Popeyes' new Honey Chicken Biscuit arrived on menus nationwide Monday, Sept. 28, putting its fried chicken inside a larger version of its buttermilk biscuit and serving it with two packets of honey sauce.
The sandwich costs $5, although prices may vary by location. It is available at participating Popeyes restaurants, through the Popeyes app and at Popeyes.com, according to the chain.
Popeyes said its culinary team saw an opportunity to turn the customer-created combination into an official menu item.

Popeyes has been highlighting the customer-created combination on Instagram, where fans have been sharing
their reactions to the new sandwich.
"Now this is a chicken biscuit I can get behind," one commenter wrote.
"I'm screaming out of excitement," another person said.
A third commenter added, "The moment I've been waiting for."
Other fans also weighed in on the post, with the comments reflecting the anticipation surrounding a combination that customers had already been creating themselves.
Normani joins Popeyes for VMAs launch
Popeyes also brought some celebrity attention to the Honey Chicken Biscuit around the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
Singer Normani partnered with Popeyes around the VMAs to promote the new Honey Chicken Biscuit. She shared a video featuring the sandwich on her Instagram page as part of the launch.
Magnus Ferrell, a Best New Artist nominee at the 2026 VMAs, was also part of the event's Popeyes-related celebrity push.
What's in the Honey Chicken Biscuit?
The sandwich uses Popeyes' fried chicken and a larger version of its buttermilk biscuit, with two packets of honey sauce served on the side.
Popeyes Chief Marketing Officer Matt Rubin said the sandwich brings together some of the chain's familiar ingredients in a new format.
"It’s simple, it’s unmistakably Popeyes," Rubin said in the announcement.
