Kickoff for the 2026-2027 National Football League is nearly here, and fans are gearing up for an exciting season.
The preseason is in full swing, but the regular season will start in style as the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks in a Super Bowl replay on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
In Atlanta, the Falcons will play their first home game on Sept. 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium
.The stadium, which hosted eight World Cup matches over the summer, quickly became one of the most popular venues thanks to its easy access to the rest of downtown Atlanta and its cheap stadium prices for food and drinks.
Now, Mercedes-Benz has been ranked as one of the best stadiums to catch an NFL game. Here's where other cities
ranked.
Mercedes-Benz is second in nation for NFL games
According to areport from APWin, which compared reviews from Google and TripAdvisor for all NFL venues, Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the second-best spot to catch a game.
"Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons, takes second place with a weighted score of 4.74. The venue has a 4.75 Google rating from 34,995 reviews, although its TripAdvisor rating is lower at 4.31, with 64.3% of reviews there awarding five stars," according to the report.
There is quite a gap, however, between first and second.
Lambeau Field, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a clear frontrunner with an overall weighted score of 4.84. The stadium has exceptional scores on both Google and TripAdvisor, setting it apart from other top stadiums.
"Lambeau is one of those stadiums with a reputation that goes well beyond the Packers, so it is interesting to see just how strongly that comes through in the reviews," Amauri Barbosa, manager of APWin said in a statement. "It isn't only number one because of one particularly good score."
Here are the top ten stadiums for NFL games, according to APWin:
- Lambeau Field, Green Bay Packers
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta Falcons
- AT&T Stadium, Dallas Cowboys
- Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City Chiefs
- Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis Colts
- Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh Steelers
- M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore Ravens
- Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas Raiders
- U.S. Bank Stadium, Minnesota Vikings
- Lumen Field, Seattle Seahawks
Mercedes-Benz Stadium ranked first by USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards
For Atlanta locals, the low prices inside the Falcons stadium are part of the appeal, as well as its easy access to MARTA and other destinations in Atlanta's entertainment district.
That's why the stadium was chosen as the Best NFL Stadium and Best Stadium for Food in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. The stadium was previously ranked second for best stadium in 2025 but topped the list for food for the second year in a row.
"Being voted the best NFL stadium in the country and, for the second year in a row, the best stadium for food is especially meaningful because these honors come directly from fans," Time Zulawski, president of AMBSE, which manages the stadium, said in a statement. "From the beginning, our goal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium has been to create an experience that puts fans first in every way, from the moment they arrive to the food they enjoy to the atmosphere they experience. These awards are a tremendous reflection of our team and partners who bring that commitment to life at every event.”
The experience was on full display this summer when the stadium earned accolades as the best host stadium for the World Cup in multiple rankings, and international fans got a taste of the famous Southern Hospitality.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium opened in 2017 and has hosted events such as college football playoff games, Super Bowls, and massive concerts.
