After defeating the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Oct. 4, theIndianapolis Colts officially have more wins than Tottenham Hotspur at the football club's own stadium this season.
The 30-13 victory was part of the NFL's International Series and played in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Jonathan Taylor ran for two touchdowns to bring Indianapolis to 2-2. The Commanders, wholost quarterback Marcus Mariota to a knee injury, fell to 1-3. The team's original starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels, was already out because of a dislocated elbow.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opened in 2019 and is considered one of the more modern and technologically advanced stadiums in the Premier League. Despite having a state-of-the-art facility, the Spurs have yet
to win this season. Not only at home, but at all. They are 0-2-3 and at the bottom of the Premier League table.It took them five matches to even score a goalin EPL play.
The club has fallen far from when they won the 2025 Europa League for their first trophy in 17 years. Their star, Son Heung-min, left later that year to join LAFC of the MLS.
The NFL has been playing in London since the 1980s, starting with preseason football at Wembley Stadium. The league launched their International Series in 2007 with a game where the New York Giants beat the Miami Dolphins 13-10 at the famed national venue. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosted its first NFL match the year it opened, in 2019, when the then-Oakland Raiders bested the Chicago Bears, 24-21.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host another NFL game next week when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
