I've spent a lot of time testing advent calendars with my son, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that kids absolutely love counting down to Christmas. Whether they're opening a tiny door to discover a new toy or sneaking a piece of chocolate before breakfast, there's something special about having a little holiday tradition to look forward to every morning.
But not every advent calendar needs 24 individually wrapped surprises. The Melissa & Doug Countdown to Christmas Wooden Advent Calendar takes a different approach, letting kids decorate a magnetic Christmas tree with a new ornament each day leading up to Christmas. It's reusable, doesn't require buying candy or toys every year
and even gives little ones a chance to practice counting.
And right now, it's27% off at Amazon, bringing the price below $25. With more than 600 purchased in the past month and an impressive 4.8-star rating from over 7,000 Amazon shoppers, it's already proving popular with families getting ready for the holidays.

600 parents bought this advent calendar in the last month, here's what they have to say:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "My twins are almost five and were so excited to use this! Since they are at the age where they know most of their numbers, it was easy for them to add a new ornament every morning plus the order is easy to follow. They were so excited to put the ornaments on the tree each morning that they did that first instead of saying "good morning" to us! I feel this calendar is very well-made and it looks really nice without looking gaudy." — Amazon customer review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "This was so nice to have this year. My daughter loved getting to add another ornament every night and counting down until Christmas. It was the perfect size for her to place each magnetic. And the fact that they could store the ornaments in the attached tray was perfect." — Amazon customer review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I got four of these for my home as well as my children/grandchildren's homes, and they are TOTAL HITS!!! Oldest grandchild is nearly ten, and found it as entertaining as the "small fry" down to two years old! The kids were making up games with the magnet-ornaments, as well as using them as "cookies" for their "baking", plus choosing their favorites, then changing their minds to name different favorites two seconds later. The colors are perfect for Christmas, and there is some MAJOR learning going on very sneakily--counting, arranging, etc. Well worth the price for the hours of amusement!" — Amazon customer review
