Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja'Quinden Jackson was taken off the field in an ambulance after being injured on the opening kickoff of his team's preseason Week 2 game against the New England Patriots.
Jackson was injured after making a tackle on the return man, Lan Larison. The rookie dove at Larison's knees and flipped him over while taking a knee to the head.
Jackson remained down on the field after the play. He was tended to by medical staff while members of both teams took a knee on the field.
Jackson was eventually loaded onto a stretcher and into the back of the ambulance. The entire Eagles team came onto the field to wish Jackson well before he exited the stadium.
The Patriots' players, as well as the fans on-hand at Gillette Stadium,
also cheered and applauded Jackson as he was taken off the field. Patriots broadcaster Scott Zolak had noted he saw Jackson moving his hands as the 24-year-old was receiving medical attention.
