Why It Matters: Largely dismal during back-to-back losses to the 49ers and Broncos, during which he took 10 sacks and threw four INTs, Darnold was far more efficient on Sunday night. He completed 71.4 percent of his passes and wasn't sacked in a 17-point win over KC. It wasn't a completely clean game, however, as Darnold threw a terrible interception in the end zone right before halftime -- it was his sixth consecutive game with an INT. The reality with Darnold is, when things are going right, he puts up modest numbers.
And when things are going wrong, he often puts up modest numbers. Games like the ones he had against Washington (379 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs) are few and far between, which is why he's a fringe QB2 at best in fantasy circles.
