From the caviar and vegetables of Atlas to the omakase of Hayakawa, Atlanta's high-end food scene is diverse, elevated and celebrated.
A beacon in the South, restauranteurs across the city work to bring exceptional dining experiences to locals and visitors alike.
And the work has paid off. There are seven MICHELIN starred restaurants in the city, and countless more Bib Gourmand-honored spots, as well as MICHELIN recommended eateries.
Now, more Atlanta favorites have been honored.
At the announcement of the 2026 MICHELIN Guide American South ceremony in Nashville on Wednesday, another Atlanta restaurant earned a star, and others were honored by the brand.
Two Georgia restaurants earn MICHELIN stars in 2026
So. Fox, in the Virginia-Highlands neighborhood earned its first MICHELIN star with chef Myles
Moody.
"So. Fox is a delightful surprise tucked inside a small, contemporary building in Atlanta's Virginia-Highland neighborhood. Flooded with natural light, it's the very definition of chic, contemporary design. The name is a nod to the Southern Fox, another name for the American indigenous muscadine grape, and wine is indeed as important as the Southern-leaning cuisine here," MICHELIN said in its honor. "Chef Myles Moody and Sommelier Rachael Pack collaborate on an impressive meal that eschews pretense, with a seasonally shifting menu. Corn dumplings in a sweet corn sauce with lump crab meat is beautifully fragrant, original and flawlessly executed. Then, a bowl of piped marshmallow is set with roasted apple granita and purple shiso for an expertly balanced finish."
If you think you've tried So. Fox before, try again. The menu changes seasonally, and there are always new menu items and drinks in circulation.
Uberto Restaurant, located in Gay, Georgia, also earned a MICHELIN star this year. The restaurant, from chef Ryan Smith, is part of the World of Quercus resort and is only open to non-resort guests on Friday and Saturday nights.
"The tasting menu celebrates farm-grown ingredients, harnessing fermentation and preservation techniques to make the best of their products. Creative cooking with plenty of on-trend inflections take center stage with plates like miso and Alabama blue crab chawanmushi. Cold-smoked, dry-aged Rohan duck is grilled over binchotan coals and paired with a vibrant carrot puree. To finish, expect the likes of fig ice cream with buckwheat sponge and crumble," MICHELIN critics said.
The third new MICHELIN star went to Dakar NOLA, a Senegalese restaurant in New Orleans.
Atlanta restaurants Atlas, Bacchanalia, Hayakawa, Lazy Betty, Mujo, O by Brush and Omakase Table also kept their MICHELIN stars for 2026.
